Image formats
Understanding image formats and what formats to use and their relative strengths and weaknesses is the next building block in really getting to grips with digital imaging.
Colour and light
Understanding how light works is foundational to understanding colour. If you are going to work with images at a professional level, then it is fundamental to understand colour and how it works and how to make sure it is consistent right across your workflow.
Setting up Photoshop
If you are going to work in Photoshop well, there are some key settings you need to adjust in order to ensure that you are working with the correct colour settings.
Image errors
Finally, in this course Graeme takes you through some common image errors that you may make yourself or that you may come across in the course of your professional work, perhaps as an editor or in working with a colleague's work. Being able to recognise them and, even better, correct them, will set you apart as a professional.
Colour correction
If you are having to deal with damaged files handed to you or that you have in your own collection, this course will help you to correct them. It will also be useful if you are preparing files for high quality printing such as for fine art and you want the maximum control and colour authenticity.
