At the start of this course it is necessary to go over some computer basics. In this lesson, I will take a quick look at each of the components of a computer system.
Operating systems
Every computer needs an operating system (OS) to control the most basic functions of the computer. In this lesson, I will outline the general choices you have for your OS.
The monitor
Because the monitor is so important, I have broken down the discussion of monitor screens into its own lesson. The lesson outlines monitor types and specifications, and how to calibrate and profile your monitor.
System recommendations
In the final lesson, I outline entire systems specifications, in relation to the type of imaging you will need to be doing.
